# Working in this repo
|
|
|
|
This repo documents lovey (Proxmox, 192.168.1.53) and its NixOS guest llm-nixos (192.168.1.67): configs,
|
|
docs, benchmarks. Start with `README.md`; `docs/changelog.md` records every change and fix.
|
|
|
|
## The repo is public
|
|
|
|
Never commit secrets: the Strata API key (`/var/lib/strata/api-key` on the guest), the `apiKey` in
|
|
`~/.pi/agent/models.json`, Gitea tokens, or private SSH keys. Replace them with `<...>` placeholders.
|
|
Before every push, grep the diff for the real key values:
|
|
|
|

## When you change lovey, llm-nixos, Strata or pi
|
|
|
|
1. Copy the changed file into the repo at its matching path (`nixos/` = `/etc/nixos`, `proxmox/` = the
|
|
host's real paths, `strata/`, `pi/`).
|
|
2. Update the matching `docs/*.md` page and add a dated entry at the top of `docs/changelog.md`
|
|
(symptom, cause, fix, how it was verified).
|
|
3. Commit with a descriptive message.
|
|
|
|
## Pushing
|
|
|
|
Remote: `https://gt.wittyoneoff.com/jason/lovey.git`, branch `main`, local clone `~/Documents/GitHub/lovey`.
|
|
A Gitea token is stored in `~/.git-credentials` (`credential.helper store`). When asked to push, run the
|
|
secrets grep above, then `git push origin main`. Don't ask the user to push or to supply a token unless
|
|
the push fails with 401 (token revoked). Gitea's SSH clone URL still shows the old address
|
|
`192.168.1.208` (the Gitea host is now `.166`), so use HTTPS.
|
